2450 calories
60.5 miles
4:20 time
16.8% max grade
4,036 ft

Lovin all the corn fields already.

I hate detours. They only seem to add mileage - never take away mileage. This was one of three detours.

We passed by a military training camp/base in Indiantown.

Meghan and Robby deciding to look very sad for the camera.

Connor and I were "sweep" for the day which means we had to ride in the very back and pick up/help out anyone who had trouble. We had to ride at a more "leisurely pace" and make sure everyone got to the destination okay. We're supposed to be sweeping here?

Day 7

4400 ft
73 miles

Day 6

Build day in Stroudsburg, PA

We split into two groups to work on two different sites. One was a demolition job, and the one I was on was a rehabilitation job. Both were with Habitat for Humanity.

We also spent half the day painting our trailer that carries all our stuff while we ride. We have 4 architects and 4 other designers in our group so we managed to come up with something halfway decent.

Day 5

Middletown, NY to Stroudsburg, PA via New Jersey

9.4% max grade
2663 calories
4,506 ft elevation gain
63.5 miles
4:35 time

Crossing the Pennsylvania state border from New Jersey. New Jersey didn't even have a state line. Sooo NJ like.

River where we ate lunch and took a dip to cool off.

Stopped for home grown strawberries at someone's yard. They were hands down the best strawberries I've ever had. And they were so tiny!

The stand was self-serve. You just drop your money in the slot and take your berries.

Yet another stop at a huge candy/gift shop. We met the owner and she gave us some free beverages and had us take our photo for their shop brochure. They thought at first we were called "Bikin Babes" instead of "Bike & Build."
